Facebook Social Media Marketing: How to Use Facebook Groups as a Networking Tool for Your Business
Looking for ideas to grow your business using Facebook Social Media Marketing? If you aren’t using Facebook groups to grow and build your network marketing business, you’re missing out! They’re a super powerful tool Facebook gives us marketers to grow our businesses. The catch is you have to know how to use them, and unfortunately, there are a ton of people using them the wrong way.
Facebook Social Media Marketing: Groups as a Tool for Prospecting
Facebook groups are a great way to find new prospects and generate leads for your business. First, you will want to find groups you’re interested in or that relate to your company.
For example, you wouldn’t join a group about fly fishing if you have absolutely no interest in fly fishing. It would be difficult for you to form relationships with people in that group, and what we want is genuine relationships with real people.
So how do you find groups to join? Many people don’t realize the power of Facebook Graph Search. It’s a great tool you can use to search for a list of potential groups to join.
To do this, go to the Facebook search bar and type “groups my friends joined”. Facebook will then generate a list of all of the groups of which your friends are members. You can then search the results for groups that interest you.
The point of joining new groups and meeting people is to build relationships. Don’t join groups just to spam them with links to your business. That’s a huge turn off; no one wants to do business with someone who lacks prospecting skills, and posting links in groups screams that you have no idea what you’re doing.
What you do want is to get into a group and post interesting memes or topics for discussion. You want to be visible, form relationships, and expand your network.
I have met some of the most amazing people through Facebook groups, people that I’m now great friends with. That’s how you want to look at this. You don’t want to have an agenda when you’re building relationships with others.
Facebook Social Media Marketing: Groups for Generating Sales
I love using Facebook groups for prospecting. We have a secret Facebook group with information, opportunity videos, before and afters, and more. When someone is interested in a certain business or product, we simply add them to the group and tag them in the appropriate post. It makes life so much easier!
Note: make sure to ask people before you add them to a group. No one likes being added to Facebook groups without consent.
Facebook Social Media Marketing: Groups for Team Building
Facebook groups also provide a great avenue for creating team culture and community through team pages. Here you can post top sales achievers, new rank advancements, important information, and more. It’s the perfect tool to keep your team informed on what’s happening in your company.
Facebook Social Media Marketing: Groups for Team Training
Another option is to use Facebook groups to train your team. My leadership team and I created a group specifically for video training to get new members off to a fast start. The power of network marketing is growing, and if you can make it as easy as possible, you can build a strong business from the start!
